Minister Shay will speak about his vision for strengthening the connection between basic & applied research and industrial development, increasing the social & economic vigor of society, expanding Israel's scientific human capital and ensuring equal opportunity in science & technology for all sectors & communities.

Prior to joining politics, Mr Shay was a High-Tech Entrepreneur, Venture Capitalist, Board Member, Mentor and a Social activist.

Izhar Shay is a prominent public figure, in the past he wrote a popular weekly column in Globes - Israel’s main financial daily, authored two books and founded Israel’s largest digital community for entrepreneurs (“Start-Up Stadium”) with about 45,000 members. He also founded and anchored a popular radio program (“High-Tech Ba’Pkakim”), which reached tens of thousands on a weekly basis.
